OK, after plenty of reading I have figured to the best I can that my sandrail has a 79-81 Mustang 2.3 turbo. I am wanting to scrap the carb and go efi. Am I better off finding a turbo coupe motor, or can I just replace the intake and computer and be done with it? This is going to be done on a tight budget. This thing runs with plenty of power now, but, I am looking for more stability with fuel delivery. It slobbers a lot going downhill, and on rough terrain. Also the wastegate was wired open by the previous owner and he says it runs better. As it sits I have a n/a motor with a big exhaust restriction LOL. Any ideas with this would be greatly appreciated.
