:icon_confused:I am looking to put leather bucket seats out of an Explorer into my 01 Ranger Edge regular cab. I will be able to search this on this and the X forum without any difficulties as far as fit etc.

The question I have unanswered after a lot of searching is what options do I have for center consoles as my truck is a manual transmission. Did 2nd gen Exploders come with manual tranny's? Please post pictures or discuss my options. I would really appreciate a little expert insight.

They did, but they had the short center console.

you can use the full length center console, but you have to remove the front 2 pockets and make a custom shift boot.

I would love some input and too see some pictures if anyone has done this. I have thought of it, but really dont know where to start about the boot.

I have had both style consoles I posted pictures to below. I personally like the shorty console a lot better than the full length.

Here is some pictures I pulled off the web.

you have to do some trimming on the back of it to get it to fit.also your going to lose the rear cup holders.

haha...Maruice posted the pics i was gonna post. shoot....ripped from my pbucket! lol.

Expo console posted above is my buddy's old truck, TrePaul86.

I've read some differing info involing the full length in a reg cab....something about the console is too long and it wont work. But i know i've seen it before in person.

I like the looks of #1. Gotta keep my eyes peeled for one.
I have the 60-40 split, so I need to upgrade seats as well.

search '60/40 mod'. it's converting your 60 into a 40. tons of folks have done it, including me.

So let me ask are you saying that I could take the bucket seats from a ford exployer(what yr) and put them into my 2001 ford ranger xlt?

I have been wanting to do this as I hate the bench seats that I assume you guys refer to as a 60/40 idk what that means. thks

60/40 = 60% driver seat w/ center seat, 40% passenger seat = 100% seat.

Buckets are often referred to 40/40, 40% each seat, 20% center console.

Yes....01 and older explorer seats will bolt directly to your 2001 ranger....as long as it's extended cab.

60/40 mod is converting your 60 seat to a 40, aka converting it to a bucket seat. When done, you wont be able to tell it was cut up with the install of the center console.
