BDS uses a drop plate extension for the stock bracket (junk, can damage the front differential housing).
I would stick with Skyjacker or James Duff (Tuff Country is another one to consider if you're just looking for a cheap lift).
I don't have any experience with tuff country or SJ, but JD makes some high quality stuff. I have the JD 3" lift with extended arms and everything else, and it works great, I love the variable rate coils.
Ill 2nd 4x4 junkie. for drop bracket lifts the james duff and sky jacker seem to be the best built.
I use to have a skyjacker class2 kit on my truck
(bought it that way) and over all it was a nice kit.very well made for a mass production piece.
The duff drop brackets look very well made, almost a carbon copy of the highrider brackets.
Only reason I took off my skyjacker kit is Im more after making my truck for the desert and high speed wheeling vs crawling and flexing etc.
I do a little of everything. That's why I don't want my truck to be real high. That's also the reason I haven't swap in a straight axle. I'm just looking for a "cheap" lift. But, it looks to me that in order to get real performance, I HAVE to spend a lot. Thanks guys.
