Well I might as well put this up here.
95 Dodge Dakota 4x4, 5.2 V8, 5 speed NV3500, NP231 Manual T-case, 8.25 rear, 3.55 gears, 31x10.50s.

So far I've removed the Canopy, bug guard, and vent shades. (bug guard still on in pictures.

I've installed an Aero Turbine 3030 Muffler, the Cat, the muffler and exit pipe are all 3".

Also installed a 50mm Throttle Body.
I've got some plans for it. I've purchased a MegaSquirt II setup and am planning feeding it 5-7PSI via a single turbo, should be good for 300+RWHP...

using it as a parts rig or what?

hey i see you are up here in wa as well. here there calling for snow later today in my part.. :/

Do you also have a high flow cat? That thing sounds pretty good. Way better then the exhaust on my Dodge.

I saw my name and got confused.

Damn you Dodge!

Anyways, how are you liking the Dakota and what's your mpg like?

I love it. It does need a tranny (which I have) which is why I got it for $1000. OD is VERY loud so I don't use it, I'm averaging 13.5MPG right now, no reason it can't hit 15 with overdrive.

Sounds good. Should be damn fun to drive with a snail on it. Are you going to an under the hood set-up or a tail pipe set-up?

I wanna keep it under the hood, these 2nd Gen Dakotas have a shit ton of room under the hood.

My MegeSquirt stuff got here so I spent a couple hours after work assembling the board (I do a lot of circuit board building and repair at work so it went pretty fast). I also bought an M1 Intake manifold, the stocker falls on it's face after 4500 RPMs and this also elimintates the leaking belly pan on the stocker (which mine has, not surprisingly).
Also got my Mechanical water temp and oil pressure gauges installed, the stock oil sending unit is on the back of the engine next to the dizzy, that was fun to get to.. Coolant guage revealed what I thought to be true, it's not warming up all the way, only 150*... So I'm guessing the fawkstick PO removed the t-stat but I guess I'll find out when I replace it later today..

Well I got the good tranny installed over the weekend. New tranny is dead quite and I have OD now. Nice thing is I was able to remove the slave before I removed the tranny, then swapped it and bolted the slave back on and BAM instant clutch and no bathing in DOT3, try that in an RBV!

Well Mileage has improved to 15MPG during my normal mix of driving, driving the explorer the same I only get 16.5-17. Highway mileage is 20MPG, same as the sploder.

I plan on installing the M1 intake manifold.

So that will give me a nice boost, especially up top.

Also looking at a set of Harland Sharp 1.7 Rockers for another easy 10-15HP.

I picked up a set of 15x8 Ultra 50 series wheels on craigslist for $150 and I got a set of decent 30x9.50 Wild Country TXRs from a friend for $25. If I don't see much MPG gain with the smaller tires I'll go back to the 31s since they look much better.
