Im needin a auto hub to manual hub convo kit, anyone know iftheres a way around the 60 dollar kit? kinda like the way around the kit for the d35 inthe sticky? i could rund around to the junk yards just thought someone out there might could help thanks!

Take the manual hubs and spindle nuts from a truck in the junyard. Pull all the nuts and washers back to the wheel bearing. Replace with the nut, lockwasher and jamb nut then slide the manual hub on.

I have a plastic bin full of those parts and I carry an axle set in my "spares kit" in the truck any time I'm going more than 100 miles from home.

I kindof get the impression he's looking for D28 nuts, but his post isn't real clear.

I'm not sure on a Spicer pt# for the D28 nuts (I'll bet it's been obsoleted already anyway). Your best bet is to just search the junkyards for 'em (you could also modify your auto hub nuts to fit in the hub by grinding the hex part down some (a bit hack, but it would work).

I've got several complete axle sets of D28 nuts (washers, torrington bearing, etc)
on my "small goodies" shelf.
