88 BII power brakes rear ABS. when braking I am getting a heavey pulsating (only way I can think to describe it) maybe thumping feel, in the pedal. I can't recall 100% but I think it was there before I rebuilt the rear end when the idiot who pulled the bearing from the carrier broke one of the teeth off the ABS sensor ring. Might this be from the ring, or the ABS comp? Did the rear brakes for the FIRST TIME ever on this poor ole girl last summer, and didn't bother to look at anything in there when I had the drums off to do the rear end. Any ideas? Also, I need to change the brake fluid (completely) any tips there? I have a vacum pump, might help.

How are the front brakes? Pulsation in the pedal, especially when slowing down from high speeds, often indicates bad rotors.

front brakes are good. new rotors and pads spring 06. Looked at em a couple weeks ago and look good still.

dont just assume that the front brakes are good. if cheap replacement parts were used then there are no guarantees especially since they have only a 1 year warrantee or so.

You can't really look at a rotor and tell it is warped.

id take a good look at the front breaks. If the wheels wernt torqued properly, it can warp the rotors, i dont se the tone ring causing an issue

k, I'll check those rotors soon as I find my dial guage. I really wish I could remember when it started doing that. Oh well. Will check it out. Thanks

Pedal pulsation is a hallmark of warped rotors.

As for BREAKING a tooth off of the RABS tone ring?

I doubt it, those things are butter soft steel and breaking it would
be like breaking a gummy bear.
