:icon_confused:how many bronco 2's came with a 4.0 and a 5 speed found one and the guys said its original but not to sure i can find anything on it any info would be great

Allegedly there were no Bronco II's with a factory-installed 4.0L except for a few test mule vehicles. Try looking at the emissions sticker on the radiator support panel; if the original sticker is still there, it'll list the originally installed engine size. And the truck's VIN can also be used to determine the original engine- the 8th digit denotes the engine. "T" will be 2.9L, "X" is for the 4.0L.

IF that BII has a 4.0 from the factory, it wil be a unicorn, that's for sure.

Look for the X in the vin, as previously mentioned.

ok talked to the guy NOT HIS WIFE lol and he says it was swaped in now a new ? does the 90have the dana tbb35 or 28??

I did find one in my searching, like BlackBII says, the VIN has to have the X in order for it to be the factory 4.0.

i noticed ur extended radius arms build page...could u explain how u knew how much to add..?

I added 12" to the stock arms, which placed the brackets directly in front of the stock tranny cross member. That way, you can use the crossmember, and not have to make a new one.

I did find one in my searching, like BlackBII says, the VIN has to have the X in order for it to be the factory 4.0.

You found one??

Yep. I found one. It was in Kentucky.
