Chances are it will probably last another 1 or 2 hundred thousand miles if maintained. That depends alot on what kinda shape it's in now though.

Well my '99 has 140500 on it, so you're a little better off in mileage than I am.

I've got a '94, too, with the 2.3L four, Mazda 5 speed. Noticed coming home tonight that it had 374,784 miles on it. These trucks can last a helluva long time; it's part luck of the draw, part how well you take care of it.

That's like asking how long is a piece of string... It could burst into flames tomorrow or chug along another 200k.

depends on how well you maintain it and how willing you are to repair any major issues that may pop up. if you could replace any/every part that went bad, broke, wore out, rusted away or was abused to the point of failure, you could make it last indefinitely. that probably wouldnt be worth it though.

My original engine had 264,774mi on it and was running awesome when I hydrolocked it and blew out the rings. As for the rest of the truck at 271,xxx mi, trans just started popping out of 3rd, rear is original with no problems, and everyother major thing has been swapped for upgrades. But all in all high milage and nothing to be feared with a Ranger, as long as it's property maintained. On a side note I ain't afraid to go out and beat mine up every once in a while.

The 3.0l engine will go forever too. Long as it has oil gas and coolant. You be fine, no need to worry just keep up with the maintenance.

sorry, my crystal ball is broken.

thats an impossible question to answer with any kind of accuracy.

as well as depending on the trucks history, it also depends on your definition of "lasting".

yeh like everyone else, the only way to get a general idea on how much life is by doing a solid look over. the 3.0 will run for ever as long as the maintence is kept up on it. If your that worried about it, it might be worth having taken to a trustworthly mechanic to have them do a solid look over. Maybe having a compression check done on the motor might be a worthwhile investment.

Yeah, we don't know what kind of shape your truck is in. Do You? My dad has an 87' that has 327k on it, and it's still his work horse. He has always maintained it and replaced the broken shit when it broke. Your truck will run for you as long as your willing to take care of it. If your one of those people that sells your rig when things break, then it may not be around too much longer. Have fun with it man.
