As title says i need some help finding out what 2 fuse are one is in the fuse panel and the other is in the power distribution box in engine compartment. i have searched and get on flicking id's on the fuse in the panel. Truck is a 93 ranger 3.0 . first fuse in fuse panel top labels it as fuse 13 all of the diagrams i looked at show it as fuse 4 miprint maybe?? just tring to see if it is for the instrument illumination-park h lamp hot circuit or the turn lamps bu lamp turm indicator circuit which i have no problem with either 2 of those circuits. the other is a mini fuse in the power distribution box labeled as 15 i think it is says a 20 amp fuse goes there. i have found no diagrams that shows the distribution box.. Just to get it out there i am having trouble with loss of tail lights only i have them wired up so i can drive the truck at night wired them into the headlights so when the headlights come on so do my tails. could leave it like this but i want it right. the other problem is with my fuel gauge has not worked since my dad bought the truck he did not care to fix it but since i bought it from him i would like a fuel gauge. :dntknw: so is someone could point me in the right direction.

This help at all? (straight from the Ford manual)

i will look at your pic when i get off work today. works computer will not pull all the pics. thanks for the reply. since you got a ford manual see if you can answer this from me. i have 4 wires on my plug that goes to the tank. one black- i am sure is the ground, pink with black stripe - iam sure is the 12v source for the pump, yellow and white stripe- guage sender wire, black with a white stripe or yellow stripe can remember exactly on the stripe color no diagrams shows this wire. is it a ground for the sender or something? i can ohm through them and get 16.5 ohms.

thanks i think i got it figured out thanks 4x4junkie and Earl43P

Fuel pump/sender:

Black is pump motor ground
Pink w/ blk stripe is pump motor power feed
Yellow w/ wht stripe is the fuel sender wire to gauge
Black w/ yel stripe is sender ground.

you by chance know how many ohms the sender is? 240ohm full 33ohm empty or 33ohm full 0 ohm empty. if i had to guess i would say the 33 full 0 empty not sure though. i am getting 16.5 ohm unless it is suppose to put out more my sender is working and i have a wire issue going to the gauge because i only have power to the guage nothing reads on the other wires so that tells me that i probly have a bad sender wire since i have a reading at the tank.

Sorry Nick, I didn't send you "Instrument Cluster".

Fuel sender is 145 ohms @ Full and 22.5 ohms at empty.

You can SHORT the Bk/Y and Y/W at the tank connector and see gage go to E (Must turn key to off, make the short, turn key to Run, see fuel gage reading go to E, turn key OFF immediately).

Re-reading your OP, I think your fuel tank sender FLOAT is perforated and filled with fuel. It's an $8 part from Ford, just a brass float.

thanks earl my gauge is already stuck on e since i am reading below spec i would assume that would be y. i will pick a float and replace mine .
