Ive been trying to come up with way's to drop my bronco 3"-4" in the front and 5" in the rear, i know for the rear im just going to do a axle flip, with small bump stops,

But to get that about of drop in the front is kinda pricey, 3" i beams are right around $350, so what if i made custom axle pivot brackets, when you lift you get extended ones, well ill make shorten ones, that way i can get 3" drop coils and still get a good enough aligment...

just a thought what do you think?
 
Not going to happen. You won't have the ground clearance.

You need drop I-beams. With 2" drop springs. And alignment eccentric bushings.

That will get you 5" of drop. That is what I did for 5" of drop on my Explorer.

not to mention i dont think you could lop 3" off the pivot brackets without interference problems with the crossmember.

That's pretty tight, gotta be the cleanest Bronco II I've seen bagged yet. I'm gonna bag one of my Bronco IIs real soon, I'm still collecting parts that I need, gonna build a whole new frame with Mustang II front suspension. My body will be all stock with all the factory trim, spare tire in the rear & bumpers, might get a billet grill made though. I'm also keepin my 2.9 & converting my A4LD into a 2wd unit. I originally wanted to go to a 5.0 or 4.6, but keeping the 2.9 will be less of a hassle getting it smogged. I'm gonna build a back seat in it too, gotta haul the family.
 
Yeah, I did see that. The problem is the it will require a body drop to get the body on the ground, & it's still got the crappy twin I-beam suspension. I'm gonna use 2"x3" 1/4" wall tubing for my frame with a Mustang II front suspension. This will allow mine to have a stock floor up front, well the trans & driveshaft tunnel will have to be raised, & still lay the body on the ground. The floor, starting at the bottom back seat, will be the same height the rest of the way to the back of the truck so the fuel tank wont hang below the body.
 
didn't the factory 2wd BII beams have a factory lift compared to a2wd beam? about 2 inches so they sit the same as a 4wd? thats what i've been told. so putting 2wd drop beams out of a 2wd ranger would be about 5" up front. if thats true i would be interested in the BII beams
 
But the B2 used the same 4wd pivot locations. That's what makes the 4wd swap so easy. the ranger 2wd pivots are slightly different.

You would need to swap the ranger pivots over to get the ranger beams to work.
