Help?

So i was driving home from work last night and my truck (94 2.3) starts poping and banging i seriously thought there would be holes in the exaust or something. So anyways when it started doing that it wouldnt accelerate again until i pushed in the clutch and let the motor slow down, then it'd quit making all that noise and go again for like a mile and do it again... anyone have any ideas? No codes.

First do a visual and wiggle test on all vac lines and elec connectors,check for clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump,could be intake air leak but I doubt it.

thanks, I finally got this thing figured out. After checking engine timing and making sure the spark was advancing like it should be. i did a vaccum test on the EGR (Which looks brand new, probably replaced right before i got it) And found out it wasnt moving. took a closer look and saw that it was bent. haha. It had a broken drivers side motor mount when i got it, and im guessing that motor jumped up high enough one time to smack the EGR on the hood. DOH! Good news is it idles smooth runs better and fuel mileage seems to be in the normal 20-25 range instead of the 13-16 that it was this time last month.

Oh yea, another good point, the fix included a rubber mallet and 3 easy swings, bingo working like new. haha.
