Installing Tint, difficult to do?

I wanna tint my truck but i dont wanna mess it up. Anyone know how hard it is to tint without messing it up and having to remove it? I know its a pain in the ass to remove that ish.

Its a skill. Ive tried it on my truck and no matter what theres always creases. I know guys that can build supercharged motors, build a custom car from the ground up but none of them can tint a single window lol. I tried and it looks like crap. Taking it in once I care enough.

windex and a squeege(sp?). Patience, patience and more patience. Spray your glass with the windex. start laying on the tint film. get it lined up and squeege the air bubbles and windex out. let it sit for awhile to let any windex that may be left evaporate out/off. This method also works well for large decals and stickers.

windex but make sure it doesnt have ammonia that will dilute the adhessive. i use foaming window cleaner myself.

The yellow color joy dish soap and water in a spray bottle is more forgiving and cheaper than windex. Don't use any other color dish soap than yellow, if you have ever seen a window tint that turns blue in time. That would be the other color soap someone used to apply the tint.

ive always heard tinting is very difficult for someone whose never done it before to get it right with no bubbles. i must have gotten lucky because mine turned out very nice.

it was still a huge pain in the ass...but turned out nice

if it makes any difference...i used a bit of old windshield wiper blade as a squeegee.

its not that hard, if your somewhat handy and have some common sense you can do it. look up directions on google and watch videos. theres tons of sites that have instructions with videos, use baby shampoo in a 1:10 ratio with water, spray it on the window and the tint, youll have enough soap to slide the tint around and seperate creases, squegee it out and dont roll windows up and down for a few days. it is VERY easy to get it perfect if the windows are out of the truck. i never did it untill my truck and it looks just like my friends from a shop except he paid 120 for 2 windows, and i paid $29 for the entire thing

The reason that window tint turns the bluish-purple barney color is caused by the sun's intensity. the sunlight breaks down the tint over time. my father tints on the side and over the years i have seen him use many colors of tint soap, with the same results over the life of the tint. hes tinted everyone of my cars/trucks. ive never had any problems with the colors of soap used fading the tint.... just some insight

you guys..dont use any detergents or amonias! thats the biggest issue with peoples tint bubbling..got your local napa or autozone or walmart even has the stuff..its called TINT-ON the stuff works good, it comes in a "prep" and stuff u spray on the tint and windows before you apply. its like 6.99$ and it actually works!
