I went the other way with my 88 and it was a very simple swap...
What I usually do is find a similar vehicle with the same options and take it apart...then you find the vehicle with the options you want and take it apart...do the swap in the yard and you will know everything you need to know before taking your own apart...
This works well if the yard is open all day and you have the time, tools, and patience to do what is necessary...as well as getting hands-on experience without messing up your truck or learning the hard way that you need something you don't have and can't get to a place to buy what you need because your truck is not drivable...
Maybe someone can offer a better way to do it, but that's how I approach(ed) it...until all the vehicles I needed started disappearing...98 is on the way out but there are still plenty of them available...around my area anyway.
