tranny fluid

I know how to put clutch fluid in but how do i put fluid into my mannul transmission

I have an 86 ford ranger with a Toyo Koygo 5-Speed transmission

Also what kind of fluid do i put in it?

You can go to your local parts store and get a little hand pump for like 5-10 dollars and you manually pump it into the trans. You will also need to do the same for the transfercase (if equipped) and rear diff. It takes about 2.7 quarts roughly.

The Toyo-Loygo uses 80w gear oil, NOT Mercon ATF. Only the M5OD uses ATF, all other RBV manual trannies use gear oil.

My hanyes mannuel says use ATF mercon II

I thought that was weird thats why i posed this question!!!
 
There's no such thing as Mercon II. There's only Mercon (no II) and Mercon V. Are you sure you have a Toyo-Koygo? There's a way to tell but I forget, the answer should be in the tech library somewhere.

I meant mercon NO II but ether way i did put it in my transmition and i drove it around the block and it did fine!!
I do have a toyo-koygo!!! for sure
 
What do i do if this fluid is wrong?

Get the ATF out of there, there is a reason it requires gear oil.
 
ONLY the M5OD uses Mercon ATF! I don't care what your book says, it's wrong.
