Looks like I'll be getting a new ride in a couple weeks. Just need to figure out what kind of name I should give it. It's a 89' extra cab 4x4 with a 2.9L and a 5sp. I'm totally stoked about it.

Jersey truck with no rusty fenders? You're a lucky dude.

That truck looks pretty good

Thanks. I was surprised my buddy called me and told me about it. He makes his money each week buying and scrapping cars. I can't wait till I can take it out and run it around in the woods and see how she handles.

That's what the last owner is assuming is going to happen to it. I can guarantee that it won't happen anytime soon.

Just a couple more pictures to upload.

I would have scrapped it because of that ugly red interior. :icon_rofl:

Check the radiator support, How much of the bottom of that is rotted away?

I'm not thrilled about the color myself, but interior colors can be changed!!

And as for the radiator support, it's totally rust free. Don't know how that happened.

My jersey truck was rust free except the spots where the body damage was from a small accident. Thats clean as anything! Too bad its push and pray 4x4

Mine's solid too (DE Truck)

Rear fenders and cowl however.......

There is a big rust spot on the right rear of my bed on my 87'. There from a accident before I bought the truck. The cowl is rust free though.

Anybody know who's ride is shown at the bottom of the Dana 30 page in the Tech Library? I'm curious about the arms on there and what might the dimensions be. Here's a pic:

I'm thinking about pulling the Dana 28 out of the new truck as soon as I get it and throw one of the Dana 30's I've got under it.

You might ask Stang5lgt about the arms he has made for a couple of builds. They are that same style and look to perform really well.

Well I got THWNN home with one small problem. There is a really wicked shake somewhere in the truck while driving down the road. My first suspicion is that the two piece driveshaft is going south. There is a lot of play in the carrier bearing. I'm wondering if I disconnect the rear driveshaft and keep it in 4wd for a couple days, basically running it as a front wheel drive, will I do any damage to the truck till I can get paid next Friday and find myself a one piece driveshaft from a 98+ extra cab ranger? Also does anyone know if the driveshaft is found in any other Ford models?
