OK, So most know that my son rolled his truck. Here is the build thread. We'll be rebuilding it until it's finished or until I scrap it. Whichever comes first.

I'm thinking I'll change it to 2wd and auto. Then put some sort of ghetto long travel setup in it. Maybe move the engine back a few inches and whatever else I decide along the way. I have some unequal 2wd beams, I'm still looking for some equals and a 9 inch.
So here it goes.

Drivetrain ready to go get cleaned up. I have another engine at the machine shop ready to overhaul.

Now would be your best time to swap in a 4.0 or a 5.0 :D

You and your boy?
You are some BAMF's.

Git down with with your rebuild. Glad your son wasn't hurt.

I bet your neighbor's LOVE you.

Meh...the neighbor is a Baptist preacher. He isn't supposed to like very much.

How did the truck get rolled over?

I do agree, do a 4.0 or 5.0 swap while you are here, might as well.

We worked on the little pile today. still stripping it down. We removed the 4x4 suspension and the lift blocks and add-a-leafs. Still looking for a 9" for the rear.

Stripping anything useful from the 4X4 suspension

2X4 beams mocked up...yes I realize that I won't be able to use the same springs.I'm checking to see where they'll land in the upper buckets.

Getting rid of the lift kit and other non essential crap.

Frame is cleaned up so we set the dirty engine back in the frame. Just to have a nice place to strip it down. The new block is still in the machine shop. Just waiting for it to get out. Then we'll rebuild it and set it in there all nice and clean.

Cash out of pocket so far. $57.00 $17.00 for paint and $40.00 for the cab. I should pick it up tomorrow.

BTW my wife doesn't take any flattering pics with an iPhone.

I see you are using F-150 beams, never seen that before (ranger using 2wd f-150 beams for making a prerunner) but there's guys that have converted to the D44 TTB so why not? I'm subbing because I wanna see this budget build get some air under the tires in the end!

great job so far, i think its cool that your doing that with your son. i would love for my dad and i to build something but he thinks it would turn his yard into a junkyard..

and make sure you do alooooottttt of donuts in it when your done ;)
