Mine bit the dust. Can anyone advise me on getting a rebuilt A4LD. I see only one on the web and it's a long way from Georgia. I'd like to get one that's got the upgrades listed in the tech library but don't know who to trust.

Anyone have experience with that company? I've heard some iffy things.

We ordered a 4l60e or a truck my dad was fixing as a side job. Ordered it, got it a week or so later, and it's still working fine. It's been a couple years, maybe 3. Idk for sure. But he's still driving his truck and it beats the heck out of a stock 4l60e. My dads gonna order one for his Silverado eventually.

Personally I've only heard good about them... But I only know of 3 people running them... And none of them needed customer service for any issues. So idk... But in all 3 cases it was the perfect sale and they all work great. That 4l60e got my attention quick. It felt like a great strong transmission and stick 4l60e's are not a great transmission....stock. But this one is in a 96 silverado and he tows with it and all that jazz. It's great. We need one for our chevy. We'll probably just rebuild ours with the billet servo's and carbon fiber bands and shift kit. And so on |

My only complaint about them is they don't do anything with the AX4N in my continental.

thanks a bunch to all of you. I saw the raptor at the web site and call me cheep but for a daily driver/sometimes off roader putting $2500+ in a 2.9L, 1990 Ranger transmission and torque convertor is scarry. I don't have the time to learn to rebuild the thing myself but I do have a lead on a local shop which "SAYS" they can do the heavy duty rebuild. Maybee...
