Hey guys just bought the truck in my sig a couple days ago. Its got 133k and runs great. I want it to stay that way so I want to replace the cam sync. Everything I have read says to use the Motorcraft part, but is the Motorcraft part any better than what is in it from the factory? Has it been revised to help with this issue? I hate to work on a good running engine, but I'd rather spend a couple hundred than need a new short block and be without transportation.

You only need to replace it when they start squeeking, and or the drive gear is showing signs of wear.
