Default Alright, I need your guys thoughts

This has nothing to do with trucks, but it didnt fit anywhere else.

The lady friend I will be in Colorado with started arguing with me about one of the places she wants to go. Its a resort called "Glennwood Hot Springs". one of the attrations they have is a 'body of water' (ill call it that for now) that is listed under the section on their website "the pool". She was telling me how its a natural hot spring blah blah blah. So I looked it up. After reading the description of it I concluded that its nothing more than a heated swimming pool with added minerals. She got all worked up about me telling her it wasnt what she thought it was.

Its really not a big deal, its just one of those instances that irriates you so much. So I wanna ask you guys to click the link Ill post below and read the description and tell me what you think. Natural hot spring or... a heated swimming pool...

Looks to me like its both. There is a natural hit spring, they built a pool and tapped into it.

Arguing??????

Find a new ladyfriend....

(unless you're the type that provokes arguements...which means that life with a woman will be even more difficult )

Now as for the link.....read the History link....you're both right...1860's history with 21st century plumbing....

Now.....you gotta say to yourself....do I wanna be right.....& alone?

Don't **** up the trip and just do it, arguments are retarded. You are better off to let her see it for herself. Don't say anything and wait for it... Then you can use the "see I told you so" card. Hell, you might even have fun, who knows. But your persistence may have screwed you out of that scenario already, now it might be too late because she won't admit it to save face.

This particular lady friend and I arent together or anything. But without explaining the whole situation to ya ill just say the trip will still be fun no matter what. And we're going to glennwood springs and im sure it will be a good time. Ill just tell her she was more right than I was, she'll be fine.

I think I even talked her into going on an open air jeep tour over black bear pass. (They didnt have ranger tours...) Its bound to be a good trip. Minus the 2000+ driving miles....

You go apologize to her NOW and tell her she is correct. I doubt either of you were arguing that the pool was naturally cut out of the land, because that is obviously man-made with it's smooth walls and what not, but the water actually does come out of a hot spring into the pool, and the minerals in the pool are what was in the water that comes out of the rocks. It's right on their FAQ if you click on it.

My point was that even our local swimming pool is water from an underground resevoir, which could be called a spring. And I argued that its a pool because its definitely man made.

But I shall not press my luck with her on the fact if I want to have any luck in Colorado.

I made the trip from lincoln,il to estes park, co in about 15 hours. Kansas was the worst part, its the same 10 miles over and over and over again for about 495 miles i think. It makes you start to wonder if you are actually going anywhere at all.

That was in my fullsize diesel. Its a stick and doesn't have cruise, it was a tiring 15 hours

If you are lucky enough to have somebody you should just let her do what she wants. Let her find out things as you two mature. It makes a better commitment towards a lasting relationship. It takes two to make a relationship.

Well, sure looks a lot like Evans Plunge in Hot Springs SD. Built over some hot springs and made pretty over the years. My Dad went there when he was a kid, he would have been 96 this year. Wouldn't doubt anything at all in what was mentioned on that site. Warm/hot water would have traveled a long way from deep and does probably have minerals in it. Says in the history that the Ute indians were the first to enjoy it. Have a great safe trip, lots to see out there.

Thanks guys. I know ive still got alot to learn.. 20 next month WOO!

But this is actually the second time ive made the trip this summer. First time was to move her out there..... now she's coming back. Thankfully Ive got some A/C and Cruise control. That trip out with no cruise would absolutely suck. I would have got a 1" dowl and cut it to stick between my seat front and the gas pedal to keep me at like 71 mph. Not safe but oh well.
