Default Parking Brake/ Brake warning light switch

1989 ranger.The float in mine is stuck.The brakes are fine,master cylinder is full but the light is still on.Is there anyway to free it up or clean it?Or do I just need to buy a new master cylinder?Thanks

Are you sure the float is stuck? Have you looked in the MC and seen it is submerged? Or are you going off the fact that the light's still on? Check the electrical connection at the bottom of the MC for corroded wires or pins.
