ok so im going to be doing rear coils on my DD to be different and was wondering if anyone in canada has done it and is it street legal?:dntknw:

I'm not Canadian, nor have i done a rear coil swap but there are stock vehicles that come with rear coils on a solid axle such as the Rubicon that i assume they sell in Canada so I'm sure its legal.

Any thoughts on what coils you plan to use?

I thought about doing this a few times, but am not sure how I want to proceed (I still want to be able to throw a ton of crap in the back).

im thinking 84 f-350 front coils but thats just so i can get it made until io can upgrade like a year latter

Pretty much the only thing is the links and such have to be welded by a certified welder/ fabricator

.....if im not mistaken f-250's and up all used leaf springs up front, i have put a beefed up exploder rear end with the 3 link in the back before and it worked really well, just make sure to get the higher spring rate springs for the exploder other then that u just need to fab up the upper mounts in the proper location, and make your link bars

well the f 350 has coils when i looked at it they were not compressed so i just have to pull them out lol

i meant aerostar rear axle, sorry for the confusion.....my comp wont let me edit the post

well im fabing the links with the leafs still on cuz i waNT to be able to switch back easy if i need to lol so its going to be interesting im going to try and make it completly bolt on too

seriously, if its a f-350 in that year it will have a d60 up front leafsprung, thats all there is to it, there is no coil sprung f-350 in those years, it might be a f-150 with f-350 badging, but i can garuntee its not a f-350

well w/e it dont matter im not really worried as long as they work and thier free so im just using them lol like i said its just to get it done

If its a 2wd f350 it will have twin i beam with coils

I'd also check into the Poly Performance universal weld on 3 link kit, its got everything you need except coils.
