Are the pitman arms the same, or at least interchangable, between 2wd and 4wd?

I believe that the 2wd pitman arm is a bit flatter and has less drop than the 4x4 pitman arm

2WD is straight, 4WD has a drop.

Also, I belive Spline and shaft dia. between manual and power steering is different as well.

power steering on the 2wd. So the concesus is that they will interchange? I am looking at getting a used skyjacker drop pitman so my steer doesn't look like /\

should work, remember though, the 4wd will have a little more drop then a 2wd pitman normally would, so if you have a 4" lift pitman arm on the 4wd, it will be like a 6" on the 2wd I'd believe, as far as correcting steering geometry goes., steering will be --- :)

Isn't it cheaper just to get your truck aligned?

A drop Pitman arm is for correcting the linkage geometry, not the alignment.

I'd guess he's got 2" pucks or something causing an alignment issue.

Ahh, ya, I though maybe he was talkign about his drag link being at a bad angle, didnt really think it through

its supposed to say steering but you get the idea. Though my camber is terrible :black_eye: The drop pitman is, of course, to correc the steering linkage.
