Default No power from my 3.0

Here's the low down:
1993 XLT w/2009 Ford rebuilt 3.0L V6 short block.
5 speed OD manual tranny (original)
K&N cold air intake.
Underdog pulleys.
Electric fan.
MSD coil, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

You would think this motor would have some power, wrong. It runs fine as long as I am on a flat surface or going downhill. Once I start uphill, it's like there is no torque at all. Even when I mash the accelerator to the floor there's no power, just the sound of more gas burning.

I'm not sure if it is a compression issue, vacuum issue, PCM issue or what. I've thought about adding a Jet module to see if that would help, but wanted to check with you guys before I did to see if maybe someone else experienced this same problem and had some advice.

Let the threads begin.

I wouldn't think ANY of the things you have bolted on there would give you one bit more power.. Seems to me you are one of the only guys that has went to all that trouble and TELLS THE TRUTH!

Just for grins and giggles tell us what gear ratio you have and what size tires you are running..

Stock gears with 15 inch wheels. Nothing extreme.

Yep, I've got a 3L too. Auto, but still. No power is the norm.

I think a little more info would help, before jumping to any conclusions.
Do you know what your gear ratio is? What size tires are you running? Properly sizing your gear ratio can make a huge difference in how the truck moves.
Is this a new problem, or has it been this way since you put the new motor in?

A 2.9 is the same thing is it broken or real slow that is the question. It's real hard to tell from here.Hopefully someone who solved 3.0 power problems can come up with some thing you haven't thought of.

Resisting the urge to poke fun at the no power mods, stmitch is right. How long have you had the add-ons and were you getting better power just before/after you installed them? Were the mods an attempt to solve what you perceived as "no power"? Have you done a compression test? Could the clutch be slipping? You need to look a little closer. You could also test drive an 09 (same engine) and see if it feels better than yours.

3L are high reving motors use the rpm's.they will go all day at 5-6 grand. there is not much you can do for power. i have a 99 with a 3L and it does ok. 4.88 gears with 33's. oh ya and when i did the head gaskets i did a little porting of the heads and intake. it help a good bit.
