Smile will 31" tires rub on 89 ford ranger

i just bought an '89 ford ranger 4x4 and it currently has 29" tires on the front and 31s on the rear. I need to match up the tire sizes so i can use the 4wd but im not sure if 31s will rub on the front. If they do then i could just find a set of 29s for the rear but i would rather have the bigger tires.

if you have any info please reply...

if you want to find out, switch the backs to the front and drive it around.

Yes. 31's will clear but will rub when you get twisted up off road. They will do better with some lift. (body 2 to 3 inch.)

31s shouldn't rub on a gen 2 if the front springs are in good shape.

When in doubt.... do an Explorer spring swap.... Find a 4-door explorer with a TTB front suspension and grab the coils and leafs, it'll get ya 1-2" of lift over stock for an 89 RBV.

yes they will rub. I have an 88 with a 2" bodylift and new nitrogen shocks on all 4, and my 31"x10.5" tires rub up front on the sway bar at full turn both ways, on or off road, and on the rear inside wheel well at full flex

the tire size is one thing ,but it does also depend on what wheel your using as the offset will make a difference also.
