Ok, so i removed my cylinder heads, and now i have the engine all back together. I heard something about setting the valve lash? I have the 2.9L V-6. I just unbolted the rockers and springs as a whole assembaly, and re-installed them the same, and i made sure to install the pushrods in the same locations i pulled them from. Do I need to set the valve lash? what will happen if not? I thought the valve lash only needed to be adjusted if you remove the valve springs individually or replace the rods or something? Any input?

the lifters are hydrolic so as long as you have moved the internals it should pick up the slack on its own

Yep only the 2.8L has adjustable valves vs hydrolic ones

There is actually a way to adjust valve lash on the 2.9L too though.

According to the chilton online manual - if there is an adjustment screw on the rocker arm then you can change valve lash. No screws means no adjustment.

The 2.9L has hydraulic lifters and lash adjuster screws... Kind of redundant, but it does lol...
