Default Escort_gts 2nd SAS

My 89 2.3 finally died with 431K miles. So I found this 93 in excelent shape with less than half as many miles as the 89.

Here is how it sits as of now.
93 ext cab 2wd ranger 4.0L M5OD
8.8 28 spline rear with 4.56 Motive gears and lock-right locker
92 XJ Dana 30 axle with 4.56 Motive gears
IronMan4x4 XJ radius arms
Custom link brackets
Rough Country 6.5" XJ coils springs
Custom coil buckets/brackets top and bottom
Homemade steering from an XJ and Ranger
Custom track bar bracket
Homemade sway bar end links made with heim joints and quick disconnects
Custom transmission crossmember
2wd trans converted to 4wd and rebuilt
87 or 88 STX BW1350 w/front yoke and custom shift linkage
Aluminum one piece rear driveshaft from a 2002? 4wd ranger
Custom length front driveshaft made by Fort Wayne Clutch
35x12.50R15 BFG KM2 with Cragar V5 15x8 wheels
Ranger rear leafs with another ranger leaf added and custom made 3" blocks
Beltech 6300 shackles
On Board Air using factory A/C compressor and 5 gallon tank mounted under bed link to the write-up thread -->http://www.therangerstation.com/foru...=1366432<br />
Electric mirror conversion
Custom tube bumper; 1.5" DOM
Smittybuilt XRC8 winch
Custom snorkel with tractor pre-cleaner
Clear sidemarkers with aftermarket headlights and 80k HID bulbs
Upgraded steering with 7/8" heims and 1.5x.25 DOM tierod

Here it is the day I brought it home

The color is actually green, but for some reason it turned out blue in the pictures.

This is the only spot that has rust. Not bad for a 93

I will be swaping all the SAS parts from the 89 to this one. I will take alot of pictures along the way.

Here is how it looks as of 9/3/11

Had some brake problems.

Along with a broken adjuster cable, dont have a pic of it though.
Here is all the parts that will be going into it. Everything is striped from the 89.

Should be able to start it in a few weeks. Before I do, I will throw some paint on everything to keep from rusting anymore.

Now you have to re-gear the 8.8 to match the D30.

I say are you going to build a different track bar mount or still use the one you have, I wonder why it looks just like mine, which I need to do the mods that you did to get it to quit flexing.

I might redesign the one I have or just use the old one. Haven't decided yet.
