Rough Country 4" lift install questians

Also, i noticed the drop pitman arm rough country supplied with the lift looks almost exactly like the stock one...does it really drop more? Or should i look into getting one from another company with more drop? Yeah, your bronco II looks great by the way
 
Also, i cant really tell by looking at your picture, but i heard that the rear lift springs rough country supplys with the 4" lift only lifts the rear 3"? Is that true and is it noticabilly lower in the rear? If it is, i might add a set of 1" blocks to the rear also..what do you guys think?
 
The pitman arm that comes with the lift is only about a 2"drop, not 4"

it may level it out if you lift the front 4" and the back only 3".....i'd install it and see how it looks
 
Yes, still rockin the D28. I welded the spiders and so far haven't had any problems. I eventually plan to swap out to a solid D44 and Ford 9" to broaden the stance. The drop pitman doesnt drop the steering the full 4" but it is what I used. I would recomment using a 6" drop arm or the suprelift steering system (I forget the actual product name). As for the rear springs, I got the kit with the blocks and it does sag a little in the rear. If you want it to sit level I would use 1" blocks for the easy route or longer shackles (a bit more complicated but probably more stable).
 
My understanding for the pitman, is that the stock arm is good for 2" of lift. When they say 4" drop they are calling it 4" over stock. Meaning that with a 2" lift you could still use the stock pitman. when you go to a 4" lift it only requires a 2" drop pitman. :icon_confused:

wow thats awesome. ive busted millions of shafts in my d28 with an open diff and 28" tires
 
I like rabbits B2 a well it looks like a good multipurpose one that you can drive around without getting pulled over.When I put on 33's never broke my 28 but kept having to replace outer u-joints.

Sorry if i'm being thread rude.

Now I have done that...
Here is another pic that may give a better idea of the drop pitman arm that comes with the kit. You can see there is still some angle to the steering arms.
