Anybody know where to find a TK5?

my friend blew the transmission out of my twin tanker last night, so i need to find another TK5 to stick in it.

i don't want to do an M5OD swap, because i'll need a new shifter, cut a hole in the floor, and get a new driveshaft, so TK5 it is.

the problem is, every time i call a transmisison place or a junkyard to find a TK5, they keep trying to sell me a T-5, and i don't want one of those.
 
I know where to find an FM145.

ADSM: the FM transmissions are 4x4 only, this is a 2wd truck, that's not gonna fly.
 
So you can have the t-case too and just leave it in 2 hi all the time. S'all good.
 
and i'll need a new driveshaft, no thanks.
 
Low gear almost sounds worth the hassle. Maybe adsm can give you the driveshaft to go with it. :icon_welder:
 
Yeah a t case with low range would be sweet even in a 2wd... But I just kept searching craigslist until I found one... unfortunately it wasn't the right one and I just ended up rebuilding mine for like 300 bucks.
 
wow... I thought you where a little closer then that the junkyard up here has a TK-5 for $83.

I would except his twink tanker is a reg cab long bed, the shaft I have is for an ex cab short bed. Wrong length.
