94 XLT Ranger 4.0 AT 3.08. Towing Capacity?


So I take it that the stock 3.08 gears are better for towing rather than the 3.73s?
 
Nope - other way around. The 3.73 rear end will give you a higher tow capacity, and I'm pretty sure the owner's manual specs confirm this.
