I just see a lot of head aches ahead. Even with the 5.0 swap into that year, there are only three options for headers other than totally custom. Problem usually is clearing the front suspension. I would imagine having to gut the dash and most of the wiring. Need the bigger 8.8 rear end and have to modify the DS to fit how ever you are going to fit that motor in. Sure it can be done but think your the first to try with the later Ranger.

I'm doing this swap in an 84 but the steps are similar. Yes everything will hold. Depending on what rear you have I'd throw a locker In it.

here shouldnt be any cutting of the firewall. for motor mounts, my crossmember is different than yours, so i cant tell you what will work. but get the engine mounts for a 62 impala with the 5.3 and start from there. than you can just weld what ya need.

the heater/a/c box will need modification. how much i dont know.

and depending on where you set the motor and rad. you can use a mechanical fan, but probably figure on using an electric fan.

and if you r anning on running a carb, kiss your emissions testing goodby. it will NEVER pass
