well me too, since diferential is covered with oil. and oil and sparks really like each other haha!!

Brakleen... lots and lot's of Brakleen first.

Then allow it to dry out thoroughly or it''l be just as bad lol

Haha whoops. The K isn't even anywhere near the R or the S. Wtf was I doing

Yep when you use the Brake Cleaner use a lot of it and just give it a lot of time to drain out and even use and air compressor to force it out of the cracks and such. Prep work will make this job go a lot better.

yeah sometimes my keyboard likes to move letters without letting me know too

and if i use the cleaner and leave it really clean i might be able to weld it without pulling out the carrier
u know for any other stuff that would work for cleaning besides brake cleaner?
diesel maybe? and i believe the diferential uses the same ATF fluid as the transmission?

No, gear oil is it's own animal. 75W90 in the back of our Ranger's IIRC. You could also use carb cleaner too. It's always nice to find something pressurized that can blast into crevises and evaporates quick.
