I know that I need to replace my fuel filler neck because fuel leaks from the top of my tank when I fill it to the top. So, I have only been fillling it part way.

I noticed this about four weeks ago. In the past two weeks, the "check engine" like has been intermittently coming on for about ten minutes. Could a vacuum problem from the leaky filler neck be causing this? It seems to run fine.

yea i would say so when you fix the hose it should go off

Won't have anything to do with your CEL at all. There is no EVAP system on your truck.

You will have to have it scanned to know exactly what the code is for.

My filler neck leaked at the tank on my 92 ranger, and a quick fix is to use silicone sealer where it meets the tank. It really works well, and best of all, no more leaks.
Access between the frame and the bed. It's a tight fit, but well worth it.

I know my gas cap says to tighten it all the way or a CEL could result so I would assume that a leak in the filler neck would do the same thing.
