ok good news i get to make a bumper in tech class at school, i want something pretty basic because i wont get alot of time and i have to share the welders with 25 other smart teenagers so i think something like a tubbed bumper like some jeeps have where theres 2 2" tubes then 1 hoop on top. if anyone has any pics of a bumper like this especailly on a gen 1 or 2 post them PLEASE! i remembered seing a blue gen 1 with this style of bumper before that looked pretty nice thanks

Youre right i have checked for clearance and the front brace where the tow hook are mounted his in the way. Ill try to figure something, there seems to be a lot of place between the grill and rad maybe ill be able to stick it there.

That Pull-Pal is close to a common plow anchor, but simpler.

I'd get one of these. I'd get the $100 version.

Like andrew said, its going to be different on your truck. Your best bet is just to take of the bumper and giv'er with a tape measure.

The 3" body lift helped mine for room. It ended up that plate that the winch is bolted onto is level with the bottom of the frame, so no clearance was lost.

Default bumper

heres a pic of the grillgaurd/winch combo on my 86...runs a 8k winch and works great.... built out of a junkyard salvaged 85 bronco II grill gaurd and a bent up ramsey winch bumper.... rule of thump for winches is one and a half times your vehicals loaded weight... 86 ranger 5500lbs with full gear X 1.5 equals 8250. so a 8k with a back up snatch block or upgrade to a 9k or 9.5k winch, my supercab and 250 mudder will get 10ks and the bronco a 9 or 9.5...i carry a 20k snatch block on all offroad adventures...plus 2 snatch straps and a pair of 14' chains.. the chains are only used for anchor attachment NEVER for pulling... homemade pull pal in the works buddy has one and its bad ass...
