New Here and need help

Hey everyone I'm a newbie here and would like some help with my Ranger. Here is my info:

1990 Ford Ranger Ext
4X4 2.9L
Gear Ratio: 3.73
Ring Gear 7.5

My rear end is screwed I think, so I need to replace it. Any idea where i can find the parts i need to replace it. I think I need to just replace the goodies in the pot so can anyone help me with this or lead me into the right direction.

I"ve called all the wreckers in my area and within 100 miles and no one has what I need.

I think those wreckers are wrong. Use this link http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Axles.html

To find which axle code you are looking for. the code should be on the driver side door column. or on the axle itself

You are Most likely going to have to wander around the junk yards and look at door codes and axle codes yourself.

The open diff code I believe is 86 and the limited slip door code is F6.

you can also read it off the tag on the rear end itself. If the tag is a LS 3.73 ratio tag it will have L373 on it.
