3.0 with 33s


i have a 95 ranger on 33s with the 3.0l, mind you i have factory 4.10's the motor turns them decent, overdrive is mostly useless, but not really needed with the tires imo, my truck has 309 000kms(193000MILES) on it, and i ran the 33 for 4000kms so far, but am now back to my 30's for the winter.

Other wise im happy with the 33s it does just fine
 
Hey bro I Got a 01 edge 3.0L same as u with body lift cranked torsion bars with 33X12.5 with 4.11s with lockers front and back only diff is I got a Dana 30 in front end. I love it and have to prob. And I live in Hawaii with all kinds of mountains to climb. I got 190 k on my motor and have had this setup on for 5 years with no problem. U r going to need to go bigger in gears cause u only got 3.45s or 3.73s depending on the axles in the truck. Just go big or go home bro.
 
i had 32x11.50 on mine just went up to 33 i also have 3.73 rearend and auto its alittle slower but pulls the hills in western pa alright it seems to run better on the 33s the 32s were bias ply and a little heavier also check timing just replaced gear on distrubitor was very worn running like new at 135000
