well its an 85 so that all depends on how well the previous owners where on preforming maintenance and how nice they treated it.
 
it will have more umph than your 3.0 ranger, but then again, so does a a riding lawn mower!!!!
 
will it have "Oomph?"

It's a 2bbl carb 5.0 in a truck atleast 500# heavier than a Ranger.

The 2bbl 302 compared to a 4.0? it isn't fair... to the 5.0.

Likliest gearing? 3.55
