Default project darkside

Here are a few pics of my truck this will be ready by spring. Will be posting pics and info of every thing im doing to help out all the first timers like me.just got home with truck 9 hours round trip.
Truck already has a efi wiring set up also has a rear end and interior out of a 91 mustang {what you all thing about that dash thats a first.}
Will be starting with the axles and working my way from there.Has 4 lug rear will be changing to 5 lug.

looks like u have good project truck. like the interior. never thought of that before. i have an88 with a 351w in it. i have stock 7.5 rearend in it with373 gears ans stock springs, driveshaft, and front coils. i also still have the heater box in it and use it. i have my spider gears welded for full time positraction. prostar 3 1/2 x 15 in front and 15 x 8 in rear with 26x10.5 et streets on back. 2 1/2 exhaust and 40 series flowmasters. inside is stock with a light truck mega shifter and a autometer tach. i have a c4 trans with 3500 stall and manual valve body. truck runs 7.30s in the 8th mile at 98 mph. also has a 100 shot of nos. if u havent heard what all u can do to these thing just halla at me and ill let u know just how far u can go. but i need to know about 4x4s if anybody can help.

u do need to put the fuel cell over the rear axles for better weight transfer. i have a 20 gallon setting over mine and it helps alot.

yea plan on putting fuel cell farther back also battery is being moved to the back of the passenger side of the bed.

Well got all the rear end parts ordered bought a new set of 31 spline moser,got a 31 spline posi carrier with 373 gear and bought a trick flow rear end cover. Nice and strong,Also took off the old shocks and ordered a set of strange rear adjustable shocks hopefully all be here before friday so i can get this rearend together over the weekend.
Well thought i just show you all a few pic. of the old and how far i have gottin. My go is 7's or 8,s on motor in the 1/8 will see what happens.Better be 7's with NOS
