Inop drivers' power window

Most of these problems are the plastic gears, they disintegrate with age. You can get replacements at auto parts. Last I bought was $13 bucks. The motor/gear assembly will come off by itself, three small screws, 8mm I think. Two are exposed, and the other is behind the door. There is a small indentation in the door where the screw would be in relation to the other two. You drill a hole in the door to access the last screw. Once you look at it, you will see what I am talking about.:)shady

Doing the job of three people.

It would be nice to get paid three times, but it doesn't work that way....

what .... you working on the Titan project or something?

I've heard 1/4" nuts (like for 1/4" bolts) work to replace the bushings, but if it's $5 for the right parts I might just do it right when I do the explorer and lincoln...

I saw the plastic drive rollers in AutoZone the other day. I had scored them off of eBay before.

Nope. SOFIA. Much smaller project than Titan (and it's 500 or 200 miles north, depending on how you count).

I get to be the algorithms guru, flight planning product lead, and simulators lead. #2 is my "real job."

From the Explorerforum post, it seems my idea was almost right, but I would have had some troubles with that "dimple" thing. I did spot the two other screws.
