it should mount up without much work

it'll bolt on but the body lines dont line up and the body style is different - it looks goofy.

I believe Brett Simpson has a 2nd gen truck with a 3rd or 4th gen stepside bed on it... Looks a little wierd, but not that bad.

A couple years ago there was a first gen on Ebay with a narrowed bed and dually fender flares... it really looked pretty good.

"91 Ranger Stepside

Hey folks ,I'm sorry maybe I mis stated . What I was asking is what year model Ranger stepbeds will fit on my 1991 Ranger ? Thanks . ...cougar...

93-current rangers are the only common flairsides available. they will bolt to your truck, but as stated, the body lines dont line up and they are a different body style, so it may look a little goofy.

there was a 1st gen flairside made, but it came on the rare ranger shadow...so good luck finding one.

If you do find a Shadow, please DO NOT tear it apart!

I get first dibs on it...

you know, i had the chance to buy one of those beds a few years ago...i probably should have :D

was't there a guy here on the old board that built his own?

Hey Cougar,
I'd bet it wouldn't look so bad, here's my '90 with a '96 bed on it. The Gen 3's are a little wider. My truck's kinda a freak of nature but with the stepside you wouldn't notice as much. I had to get some 98 or later tail light housings since 93-97 switched to a 3 bulb system.. Other than that a bolt-on project.

Called a SHADOW BED

Not to crash your thread, but..................

I've found a guy with a set of splash flareside bedsides (fiberglass) and have been thinkin bout puttin them on my stock Ranger box with the thought that it would give me massive wheelwells for some 33x18x15 M/T Pro Streets..:icon_idea:

Also to the gen 1 & 2 stepside deal:
