Got a neat problem, took the wifes 91 Ranger (4.0 4x4 ) out to see how the tires handle the snow. Short version *lots of sandbags needed* anyway 2 inches snow dirt road shallow hill no go SO put it in 4 lo. So far so good, for the hell of it hit 3rd then 4th, then rzing ..no go , back to 3rd same thing. 1 & 2 4lo work fine, 4 HI all gears fine, 2whl all fine. Any suggestions? We have had it just a couple of months so do not have a history on it and we have not had it in 4 lo more then a few minutes of that time. Gonna post this in the transmission thread as well because I do not know which has the problem (do not say both )
