I have a 1998, 2.5, 2wd, 5 speed ranger. I drive it all the time but the motor has just about had it. I dont see how it still runs to be honest. It still starts righ up and goes but is EXTREMELY WEAK!!!!!! In the near future im going to put another engine in it but im not sure about a few things. Should i go with another 2.5L 4 banger or drop a 3.0 v6 into it?? How is the 3.0 on gas? WILL the 3.0 hook up to my 5 speed?? I will absolutely leave the truck a 5 speed its whole life.....NO autos.
