Post 90'-Running/parking lights, tail lights, dash lights, etc...

I snooped around a bit but didn't find anything quite like my situation.
My parking/running lights, dashboard and climate control column illumination lights, license plate lights, tail lights, and left blinkers are not working. My parking and license plate lights fuse keeps blowing and now my four way flashers fuse keeps blowing out. I have been told that a ground problem may be at cause. Does anyone have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate any help!

First....the search button is up there ^
Second....don't make multiple posts in different areas. It makes things way harder to track things, and for future members to search.

Don't take it the wrong way, I'm all for helping people out when I can....just throwing posts allover a forum isn't the greatest way to get help though.

Well...if your parking light fuse is blowing, then that's why ALL the dash lights, license plate, and tail lights are not working. If at the same time, your left blinker is not working and the fuse on the 4-ways are blowing, then you've already answered your question...it will have to do with a ground, but most likely one of the lights on the left side of the truck is shorting out to ground.

Replace the light bulbs. It's the easiest thing. If that doesn't work, start looking at the light bulb sockets, and then the wiring. There will be a short somewhere.

Yea I read the sticky thread after I posted my first post. I didn't mean to post twice and I posted an edit on the first post that was in the wrong section saying sorry and I was going to repost in the correct section. I didn't see a delete post option so I tried my best to correct my wrong.

Thank you for the info though. I figured a ground would be the problem but I wasn't sure that the one fuse would affect every one of those lights. On the fuse box diagram it doesn't show a connection the parking lights/license plate lights to the dash lights but I figured they were wired in a series or something. I will try replacing the lights though. Two days ago I took all the lights out, cleaned them off and replaced them and they all worked the next morning for about 15-20 minutes of driving then the fuse blew again. Also, if it helps anything, my battery light has been blinking irregularly for the last couple of months but when I took my truck to autozone to test the charging systems everything came back okay.

Again, thanks for the help!

I know this is an older post but if you have a trailer harness you may want to check that. I had this issue once on an 88 I had and the harness didn't have a cover and was shorting out on the bumper and blowing fuses.

I meant to update this once I got it fixed. It was something to do with a trailer hitch. My grandfather owned the truck before me and he apparently had some trailer cables on the truck that he wanted to keep for his new truck and to do so he just cut the wires clean off, haha. Anyways, the wires must have been shorting each other out because after I separated them and taped them up everything started working again. Thank you for the help guys, I will certainly use this board again in the future if needed!
