Default Tach bouncing around

The tach in my truck has been bouncing around like crazy for about a week now. It keeps moving around between the actual RPMs and 0. There is no actual change in the RPMs while it is doing this, and there is no change in the way the truck drives...so I don't think its the IAC. It just bounces around like crazy at idle and at speed. Any suggestions? Bad connection? Grounding issue? Anything else? Thanks in advance!
