heres mine with the steel plate...

How do you figure out how high to put the hole off top of frame?

depends on the shocks you get. when i did mine, i bolted them to the lower arm with no spring in there, compressed them all but 1/4" and then measured how far out the top of the frame they poked. the mid travel kit only uses like 6" of shock stroke so you won't over extend the shock.

still waiting on my kit.. cant wait till it gets here.

i was also wondering about reinforcing my frame, im not gonna be doing any jumping for a while prbly but ill have it up on a lift soon and i was thinking of putting like 3/8 or 1/4 stiffeners inside of the frame rails. do people do this? lol

if not, then whats an easy way to reinforce it?

Right on. Hopefully my shit comes in soon. Regardless tho I'll be at pismo for huckfest

Just talked to Brandon this morning my kit will be done this week but not in time for huckfest. Pretty bummed but it's all good. I'll post pics when I get it and start putting it on

Went out to pismo and broke my drivers side shock mount on the lower control arm. My BTF kit should be here next week tho.. Fingers crossed.

Next week I should be getting my fox shocks rotors and brake lines and I'll be ready to get it on

Got my shocks in! Dropped the control arms and spindles off at the powder coating shop. Hopefully I'll have everything on next week.

And i also had a question about what kind of steel to use for a bedcage??

its not gonna be anything crazy but should i go with like some seamless tube or or maybe just thicker tube. how strong should it be?

mild is fine for a bedcage. and 1 1/2" and .120 wall should be fine if im not mistaken
