Since I am more active here on TRS than any of the CBR based forums I am on, I thought it would be fitting to start my build thread here as well.

Here is the base of what has been done thus far:

2" lowering link (previous owner)
Powder blue paint (previous owner)
Excessive stickers (previous owner)
Shortened exhaust w/ exhaust leak (previous owner)
Metzler Sportec M3 tires (me)
K&N air filter (me)
Iridium plugs (me)
Stock replacement of front/rear sprocket w/ stock tooth count and 530 chain

Plans are as followed:

CF accent pieces made with my 2 hands
Paint probably Honda Fiji Blue
New exhaust (still doing research)
Custom LED passenger pegs
Speedo healer
PC3
Integrated LED tail light
Dual low beam HID setup (most difficult upgrade)

You know, simple. Just like the truck. :icon_thumby:

I think I decided to go with a M4 exhaust in titanium to dissipate heat easier.

While you're posting about heat dissipation, what kind of rags are you planning to mop up the post-ride splooge with?

just as a tip, I have a SV650 and an R6 and did the 520 chain conversion and it makes the selection for quality chains so much cheaper and easier.

also is there a reason you chose the m3? i rode them and didnt care for them too much but they were great for milage.

I had a 520 on my F2 and as far as I know it is still good w/o any adjustments. I choose the M3's because they had good reviews and the price was right mainly.

ya the adjustment wont change but any more the shops i have walked in have had a huge selection of 520 chanes and have the two extremes in 530 chains, either super cheap non oring chain for like 40 bucks or the 300 DID gold xring chain.

ya i rode the m3s for a while and didnt like the edges at all i couldnt get a confidant lean angle. You should watch at your local cycle gear or shop and wait for the dunlop q2's or the michelin power pures to go on sale. they are the best i have ever ridden but once you try them you wont go back

I wanted the Continental Road Attacks like I had on my F2. I just could not swing the money. As far as Michelin goes, I will never ride on them again. I was in a bad accident because they did not maintain their warmth.

Sent from the front seat of my Ranger while sitting in traffic.

Single side swing arm? That would be pure sex:icon_thumby:

Are there are any advantages to a SSSA on your bike?

Other than cosmetic, no. I am still debating on it though. I may do the 600RR SA swap because weight is key on motorcycles.

Well the bike is getting sanded to paint it Honda Fiji Blue Pearl. I am going to install a new undertail as well. I have a few other things planned as well but you will have to wait and see the results.

Front fairing is off to shave the turn signals off. I have a interesting mod to replace them though.

Damn it! Someone stole my upper fairing.

It is ok though. It allowed me to do this.
