Default 1992 Ford Ranger : Obd1 Codes need Urgent Help Please

So Im a little new here but I hope I can get some help. I finally got up to my dads shop and got a new different reader onto my truck to check my CHECK ENG light problem..... Well "problem's". it pulled back three codes that could not be manually erased. They are :

(223)Dual Plug (DPI), SPOUT or IDM circuit fault - Ignition Systems

(224)Failure in ignition coil primary circuit - Ignition Systems

(452)Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) problem

So i believe (223) means I have a bad circut with a dual spark plug system but i have not one clue where to start with the duel plugs. Ive never messes with them before. (224) should be the coil for the dual plug right? and (452) Im not to sure on. Is it a Transmission Speed Sensor? the only thing wrong with any of that is that my Rpm Gauge is stuck at 3500. Im looking to find out what I need to replace within these codes to get my check engine light to shut off. If anyone can help id greatly appreciate it. Thanks

The 223, 224's are for the edis system. I would start by checking the wiring for the ignition system. Check both connections at the module (the name escapes me) on the front side of your intake (facing grille) then check your connections to each coil pack. If they aren't loose or corroded, no cracks or splitting in the wiring the next step is removing the module on the intake and the coil packs and taking to an advance auto or something similar where they will test them for free. I had those codes pop on my 92' and it turned out I had a bad primary coil, replaced them both and no light and ran better too. My issue was hard starting then after it fired up it ran just fine. Since the system used just the primary on start up then both kicked in it masked the bad primary and drove me nuts for a while trying to figure it out lol.

The vss code I have no clue. To my knowledge it wouldn't have a vss sensor it has a mechanical cable that attaches to the DS back upper corner of the transmission that uses a gear to show indicated speed. Maybe a code for engine rpm? I can't help with that.

Next time post in the 2.3L specific area for a better chance of having someone who knows hopefully chime in. Good luck anyway!

Thinking about it (this is speculation) I'm pretty sure the edis module (same one on the intake, maybe thats what it supposed to be called?) would probably be where the tach would get it's feed from so if it's stuck on 3500rpm maybe there's a fault in the module causing all thee codes, I'd definitely get it checked out
