I think I found a Saleen Ranger - Page 2

Anything but the grille, that's the worst part in my opinion....

I only say one Saleen Ranger years ago when they first came out. I was at Sebring Race day with my vingtage SCCA racer, my 73 TR6, and I saw the Ranger in the pit area. It did not make but one full lap, it blew up the engine. All of us in the pits laughed are butts off that day. A brand new race truck and it just went 'Blew'....lol. Man that was an ugly looking truck. I have no idea how many were made but I know they are rare. Grap it up and hide it from view...lol

You would at least think they would do something with that 2.9 that was in there, like a 302 or something spectacular so you could put that 140 mph speedometer to use

The only used car lot I can think of in east pennsboro is Worley Motors, is it there? I don't live in Enola but I've passed that lot a million times.

If I am correct I think that a Saleen Ranger won the SCCA Race Truck Championship in 1991. Anybody else know??

No, it's not at Worley, it's farther south than that. I guess technically it's West Fairview, but it's right next to the one East Pennsboro Twsp sign.

You know as you are heading north, you go past the big grey antique barn, and then there is that gas station/convenience store, up on the other side of the road there is that red brick garage-looking building with the fenced-in area on the side?

It's in that fenced area near the north-west corner under the tree.

Ok, so I went out and tracked this place down on GoogleEarth and street view.

The location of the truck and the time of day the street view picture was taken at form a very unfortunate combination for my puropses, but here is what I was able to get:

I can kinda make out what looks very much like a Gen 1 headlight. That may not be it though, because as I remember the body is black, but the grille is white. It may be over a few spots behind the trailer.
