86 bronco II has bad manual want to swap to auto whats involved? what years will work? need auto for crawling any info will help thanks

I dont know anything about years or anything like that but with my 2000 ranger I know to go from manual to auto you have to get the plugs which are part of the wiring harness and the computer to recognize it. I dont know anything about your specific year or model so it may be different but that may help you get an idea if yours is similar to mine

gets done constantly.

generally a c4/5 swap.

the option i would choose if i wanted to stay small and light would be a 4.0 swap and a 700 r 4. get a good 1st gear and overdrive.

Interesting combo. I'm guessing the 60 degree 700r?

yes

advanced adapter makes a very cost effective setup for it

just run the s series t case and use the engine adapter only.

ya know, i have to change this.....i would just swap a 4.3 setup complete from a fullsize donor gm. untill the 3.7 fords get cheap and available.....love to work with one of those too.
