After reading many posts conscerning replacement of leaking fuel necks I looked on Ford's parts lookup site to find that they run about $ 300 fleet cost.
I looked on ebay and they were about $ 45.00 + S&H. I emailed a seller of these parts, he indicates he sells a great many of them with very few returns or complaints. ( He did take the time to write a long paragraph in response to my inquiry.) NAPA is about $ 150.00. I realize that for the mostpart one gets what one pays for, also don't want to have my wife (or me) driving around in a fire trap in the event of an accident.
Been working on cars and trucks for 30+ years, and really hate doing a job twice, or more often than necessary! But I also hate paying my hard-earned money on something that I could have paid less for somewhere else.
The posts are mixed, but has anybody got any new input on the subject??

I just replaced mine and got it from RockAuto with no problems so far. I too was nervous about the cheap ebay ones but didnt want to pay as much as Ford. The worst part though, my original filler neck doesnt have anything wrong with it so i replaced a perfectly good part thinking it would solve a problem. Oh well, one more thing to add to the parts pile. I think you will be good with the NAPA parts
