I found out that the airbag itself is plug and play, but what about the cut-off switch, is that plug and play too, will the airbag function properly with out it?

Well I pulled the ashtray assembly out, didn't see any plug for the cut-off switch. Side note: started the truck for a minute with the dummy cover off and dummy plug unplugged, got an airbag code 33, so this truck is definitely wired up for a passenger airbag.

I'm really curious what the answer is. All the cheapest Rangers only have one air bag, but you can get a passenger side air bag anywhere.

No go on adding pass side airbag, heard from a few people last one being Ford themselves, technically, you could add it, but it would throw the system off.

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible if you found the whole dash harness, and swapped the whole thing in.
